How Operation Vanguard Works

The Home of Record Project aims to make an impact in Arizona by offering safe, stable transitional housing paired with wrap around services designed to empower the veteran. The HRP has a unique experience working with hundreds of veterans and an understanding of what is needed most in our community.

Identify Veteran in Crisis

HRP conducts outreach by attending various events in the local community. Veterans can apply through our quick and easy request assistance form.

Provide Stable Housing

Safe, stable transitional housing sets the stage for the veteran to focus on pain points that led to becoming unhoused.
How we help

Deliver Wrap Around Services

Social Services provide wrap around care for veterans who have various needs and don’t know where to start or how to get help. Navigating these services can be time consuming and stressful. HRP’s social services can help guide veterans through this process and connect them with resources that actually help.
How we help

Housing Crisis

Arizona’s escalating eviction and foreclosure rates, driven by a shortage of affordable housing, low wages, and rising rents, and the large number of homeless veterans in Maricopa County underscore the urgent need for intervention, as highlighted in the 2024 Homelessness in Arizona Annual Report.

The HRP is actively working to obtain more housing for veterans in need. If you have real estate and are looking to support our mission of ending veteran homelessness please reach out.
